State of Wisconsin to host pair of DIII championships; Stagg Bowl moves to Texas, Ohio

Wisconsin will host a pair of NCAA Division III championships, while the Stagg Bowl leaves Virginia for the first time in a quarter century, according to a release today by the NCAA.

The Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl will relocate after this season. Salem, Virginia, for 25 years the host site of the Division III football championship, will host its final title game for the foreseeable future in 2017. The game will be played in Shenandoah, Texas in 2018 and 2019 before moving to Canton, Ohio in 2020 and 2021.

UW-La Crosse will host the DIII Wrestling Championship in 2021 at the La Crosse Center. This will be the fourth time UW-La Crosse has hosted that championship. UW-Oshkosh will host the DIII Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship in 2018 at the Lake Breeze Golf Club. The site will also host a regional in 2019.
