Badgers Fall To Northwestern 66-63, Dropping 4 Of Last 5 Games

The Wisconsin Badgers have now lost four of their last five games with a 66-63 defeat at the hands of the Northwestern Wildcats.

With Max Klesmit out injured, Jordan Davis was back in the starting lineup for the Badgers and he scored 7 of Wisconsin's first 9 points to keep them in the game early. Northwestern was able to take some control in the first half, taking a 6 point lead into halftime, up 32-26 over the Badgers. Tyler Wahl had three turnovers in the first half.

Wisconsin was able to get off to a hot start in the second half, going on an 8-0 run to take back the lead right out of the gate. A big three from Connor Essegian and then Chucky Hepburn gave Wisconsin a 34-32 lead.

However, the Badgers missed a lot of open shots and free throws down the stretch that hampered their ability to keep pace with Northwestern. Wisconsin was 1 of their last 10 from the field and had no field goals in the final 3:14 of game time.

Jordan Davis led the way with a career high 15 points for Wisconsin. Chucky Hepburn added 12 while Tyler Wahl had 11 and Connor Essegian scored 10 points.

Next up for Wisconsin is a trip to Maryland on Wednesday before returning home to the Kohl Center on Saturday.
