Paul Chryst expects Badgers to play Michigan on November 14

After two games were canceled due to coronavirus issues with the Wisconsin Badgers, head coach Paul Chryst expects Wisconsin to be ready to play at Michigan on November 14.

Chryst made the comments during an interview on 1310 WIBA in Madison on Thursday morning, his first public comments since football activities were shut down at Wisconsin.

During the interview, Chryst noted that he wasn't concerned about eligibility for the Big Ten Championship, instead saying that the Badgers were grateful for the opportunity to play another game. Wisconsin, should they miss any more contests, would no longer be eligible for the title game unless other teams began to miss contests as well.

While not naming players, Chryst suggested some position groups had no impacts from the virus, which impacted 27 total members of the football program.

Today is the first day Chryst can work after contracting the virus himself, although football activities remain paused for the Badgers. Wisconsin's game on Saturday against Purdue was canceled, as was last week's game against Nebraska, due to impacts from the coronavirus.

Earlier this week, the University of Wisconsin put out a release that included updated numbers on the virus within the program, as well as adding that none of the 27 program members at any point needed hospitalization.

Wisconsin's next game is set for November 14 at Michigan. The Badgers will update the situation on Saturday, November 7, at which point football activities could potentially resume with the University of Wisconsin.
