For Disney nerds and parents of small children, Disney+ is something that you have been thinking about for quite some time. Well Disney+ announced that besides paying for just Disney+, you can pay $12.99 for a bundle that includes Hulu (with Ads) and Espn+. This raised questions on what would happen if you were already subscribed to Hulu. Many people were confused and concerned about paying for something they already had. Also the question surfaced, what happens if you pay for Hulu with no ads, or have Hulu with live TV ads. After calling Hulu and talking to a representative, it seems that the information cordcutternews.com posted is correct.
Cordcutternews.com posted an article that said the following, "Existing Hulu Subscribers.Ā You are not eligible to purchase the Bundle if you subscribe to Hulu through Spotify, or if you subscribe to Hulu pursuant to a promotional offer (unless explicitly permitted by the terms of your promotion or otherwise allowed by Hulu or Disney). If you already have any eligible Hulu subscription (purchased through or received from Hulu or any third-party other than Spotify) when you purchase the Bundle, you may keep and manage that subscription.Ā You will continue to be billed by Hulu or such third-party that currently bills you for that Hulu subscription. You must subscribe to the Bundle with the same email address as associated with your existing Hulu subscription for Disney to provide you with a monthly creditĀ against the Bundle price in an amount equal to the then-current retail price of Huluās ad-supported plan (currently $5.99) for as long as you maintain that separate Hulu subscription. If you cancel or otherwise lose access to your separate Hulu subscription, or if you change your Hulu account e-mail address to be different than your Bundle e-mail address, your subscription to the Bundle will be automatically cancelled. If you cancel your Bundle subscription, however, your separate Hulu subscription will continue unchanged."
So it seems that if you have Hulu already, the best option is to sign up for the bundle when it becomes available on November 12 or any day after. When signing up make sure you enter the same email and information you used to sign up for Hulu. For a full list of what will be available on Disney+ click the link below.
