Bucks hold off Hornets

When all was said and done, the Bucks would not allow for a back-to-back loss.

Two nights after a complete fourth quarter collapse, the Bucks (38-23) played a complete four quarters in holding off a possible playoff opponent in Charlotte, beating the Hornets 114-104.

Giannis Antetokounmpo set the tone early, dumping in 11 of his game-high 29 points in the first quarter. Brook Lopez chipped in 22; Khris Middleton added 17.

Charlotte (30-31) was led by Devonte Graham’s 25 points. Still, Milwaukee knows they may have not seen the last of the Hornets.

“Charlotte’s a really good team,” Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer admitted to reporters via Zoom after the game “They’re tough to guard, they play hard, they play the right way.”

Milwaukee now heads to Houston for a Thursday night tilt against the rebuilding Rockets (15-46).
