According to longtime ESPN anchor Trey Wingo, Aaron Rodgers has talked with the New York Jets. In order for this to occur, the Packers had to give him permission. Wingo reported that Rodgers is open to playing for the Jets next season.
Zack Rosenblatt, who covers the Jets for The Athletic, confirmed Wingo's report on Tuesday morning. However, he did add that Rodgers has not made a decision regarding his future.
The NFL new league year begins on March 15th, which both the Packers and Rodgers have said is a tentative deadline for a decision.
