Panthers at Saints (SPREAD: NO -5.5)

"I'll take the Panthers +5.5. A division dog, New Orleans is reeling. Three of the last last four Panthers games have been close, decided by seven or fewer. The Panthers defense is playing the best it has played all year -- they've held opponents under 300 total yards in four of the last six games. The Saints are the most poorly coached team in the league. The last three games they're giving up almost 30 points a game, and that's with a defensive coach and some nice personnel. Derek Carr is now hurt, Jameis Winston now starts -- he's a turnover machine, and they are no longer getting to the quarterback with a defensive coach -- second fewest sacks in the league. Upset city, Panthers win, take the points, 26-24."

Colin's prediction: Panthers 26, Saints 24.

Colin's pick: Carolina +5.5

Jaguars at Browns (SPREAD: CLE -3)

“I'll take the Browns -3. Cleveland is 5-1 at home this year, and their defense at home is historically good. Number one across the board in points, yards, and third-down percentage. Also, the Browns defense played poorly last week so they'll be in a bad mood. The Jags don't have Christian Kirk, they don't have Trevor Lawrence, and the backup CJ Beathard, has a bad shoulder. The Jags are injury-riddled, and they're also 1-16 the last 17 times they have played outdoors under 50 degrees. They're a TERRIBLE bad weather team, with a backup who is dinged up against a great defense. This is my favorite bet of the week, I'll take the Browns to cover and win, 24-13."

Colin's prediction: Browns 24, Jaguars 13.

Colin's pick: Cleveland -3

Lions at Bears (SPREAD: DET -3)

"I'll take the Bears +3. Lousy cold weather. COLD, COLD, COLD weather, Jared Goff is not great in it. Bears have extra rest, Bears have won two of their last three games, defensively they have the number one rush defense in the NFL, and they're taking the ball away. They have eight takeaways in the last couple games. Chicago can be limited defensively, but they're playing pretty well. Their rush defense will force Goff to throw it in really cold Chicago weather. The Lions defense was never good but now it's a mess. They've surrendered 25+ points in the last four games. It's the second-worst scoring defense in the league is Detroit since Week 7. Upset city, take the points, Bears upset the Lions, 24-23."
Colin's prediction: Bears 24, Lions 23.

Colin's pick: Chicago +3

Broncos at Chargers (SPREAD: LAC -2.5)

“Coaching mismatch, I'll take the offensive coach, Sean Payton and Denver +2.5. The Chargers aren't doing anything well, I'll get to that in a second. Denver's defense since Week 8 has been exceptional, they've won four of their last five. Take out last week, Sean Peyton and Russell Wilson are not turning the ball over. Russell Wilson had no turnovers in five of his last six games so they'll be the cleaner of the two teams. The Chargers don't do anything well. Their rushing offense is 30th with Austin Ekeler and a good o-line. Their defense is all banged up. They have the second-worst pass defense, they're not good situationally, and they're one-dimensional in the passing game to Keenan Allen. What do they do well? Denver does a lot of things well. Denver may have a ceiling, but I get a coaching mismatch, I get points, a divisional game -- I take the Broncos to beat the Chargers, 27-24."

Colin's prediction: Broncos 27, Chargers 24.

Colin's pick: Denver +2.5

Bills at Chiefs (SPREAD: KC -1.5)

“I'm just taking Patrick Mahomes off a loss. Patrick Mahomes is 16-3 in his career off a loss. They got a bad no call on a deep ball or they could have tied that thing up with the Packers. Their defense this year has been exceptional, it's the best in the Patrick Mahomes era. The Chiefs are a good team, they are teaching a receiving corps how to receive in real time, and with a tough schedule. Here's the thing for the Bills -- five of their six wins have come against teams with losing records. There's leaks all over the building with their coach, I keep hearing 'OH, BUT THEY'RE A DESPERATE TEAM!'... They've been a 'desperate' team six times this year, they're not winning these games. Eagles, Chiefs, Cowboys is a tough stretch, I don't trust them in big games, I'll take the Chiefs to win and cover, close game, 30-27."

Colin's prediction: Chiefs 30, Bills 27.

Colin's pick: Kansas City -1.5
