Colin Cowherd: Dak Prescott is a 'Good' Quarterback Not Worth 'Elite' Money

Colin Cowherd: “There are two reasons $35 million for Dak concerns me. One: his entire career he’s had a top three offensive line, top two running back in the league, and above average weapons. I’ve never seen him struggle… Oh, wait, I have, Tyronn Smith got hurt, he was terrible. Zeke was out and he wasn’t very good. Pre-Amari Cooper – not special. The times I’ve seen him not having EVERYTHING right in support he has STRUGGLED, and last year he struggled against good teams. Everybody is good in life when you’re a trust fund kid, you’re the only child, you get the time, you get the attention, and life if way easier. What if you’re one of five kids who is struggling to grab the final piece of pizza. With Dak it’s been a trust fund kid, and it’s been best offensive line, best running back, above average weapons – PFF just said he’s receiving corps is ranked number three. So his entire NFL life has been that of a trust fund kid, and ‘don’t wreck the Mercedes.’ It’s been nothing but fun and daises. The times he’s lost key offensive components he deteriorates fast.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he can’t really fathom the recent reports that the Dallas Cowboys are going to sign Dak Prescott to a $35 million contract, as Colin wonders why a ‘good’ quarterback in Dak is going to be rewarded with a historically high contract tailored for an ‘elite’ quarterback.

Check out the video above as Colin details why he doesn’t think Dak has ever had to face the adversity of a bad team or inferior franchise like most young quarterbacks who were drafted early in the first round do.
