It’s been a tough week in the NFL community, and the entire sports community. The Damar Hamlin incident in Cincinnati on Monday weighed heavy on the hearts of sports fans all week. But what was it like for a mom of an NFL player? Packers Wide Receiver Christian Watson’s mom, Christa, shed some light on her emotions with Drew & KB on Friday.
During her first appearance with Drew & KB a few weeks ago, she talked about how tough it was to watch Watson get hurt during multiple games this season. So what was it like to watch a situation where an NFL player needed CPR on the field? "It was incredibly emotional for me,” said Christa.
Christa talked through the emotions she felt while watching the events unfold. “When you are waiting an hour, it feels like forever to find out what’s going on with your son. The last few days were pretty emotional, they were pretty serious.”
While Christa didn’t talk to Watson about the injury other than in their family group chat, she is sure Watson knows how she feels about the situation.
