There have been rumors swirling, but they were officially put to bed on Friday afternoon. By who? The man at the center of the rumors, Braelon Allen.
Badgers Running Back Braelon Allen joined Drew & KB on Friday afternoon and confirmed he is staying at Wisconsin. "I'm a Badger," Allen said.
In case you missed it, there were rumors floating around that Allen could consider transferring away from Madison because Jim Leonhard wasn't named the head coach at Wisconsin. However, Allen is excited to play under new head coach Luke Fickell. "I realized pretty much right off the bat, he's the type of guy I wanted to play for," said Allen.
Of course, he expressed that he is sad to see Jim Leonhard go, but understands that Leonhard had to make the best decision for himself.
Allen said he should be "close to 100% as he can be" when the Badgers play Oklahoma State in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl on December 27th. Allen has battled shoulder and ankle injuries this season.
