Todd Lewis (Golf Channel) joined Drew and KB on Monday afternoon to recap an exciting U.S. Open. What started out as a lot of drama (LIV Tour, etc.) ended with a spectacular final round that saw changes frequently at the top of the leaderboard and Todd was in Massachusetts to see it all.
Todd stressed how difficult the course is at Brookline where the U.S. Open was played. “It’s tough to make birdies. It’s tough to break away,” Todd explained.
Matt Fitzpatrick won the U.S. Open, but finishing in the Top 5 yet again, was Will Zalatoris. Todd gave high praise to the frequent Top 5 finisher, saying, “Will Zalatoris is going to be a big time superstar.”
Todd was able to catch up with Fitzpatrick after the final round and gave insight into what that conversation was like.
