Ever since the invention of the automobile, bumper stickers and window decals have communicated our positions on Gun Control, Pro-Choice/Pro-Life, Freedom of Religion and other politically divisive issues. They’ve informed people of who we are going to vote for in the Presidential Election and they've let them know what hot rockin’, flame throwin’ radio station we’re cranking on the Blaupunkt.
I’ve never quite understood why anyone would want to mar their investment this way. What are they trying to accomplish? It’s not like I’m going pull up behind a Prius with a Jesus fish and a Coexist bumper sticker and immediately take the next exit ramp and dedicate my life to Christ. And I definitely don’t give a crap if you’re proud of your honor student. I’ve got news for you. Everyone is proud of their honor student.
Bottom line. I would never and have never put a bumper sticker or decal on any car of mine. Until I saw this:
Now THIS I would put on my car. If only for the reason it’s giving the big middle finger to anyone who thinks putting a sticker on a bumper somehow makes them better than me. Granted this guy’s kid probably is the Inmate of the Month. Good for him. But I’m playing it the other way. If you want to feel good about yourself, I’m gonna make you feel better. And I am going to laugh my a$$ off the every mile of the way.
