David Ortiz was shot while in the Dominican Republic last week. The lead prosecutors on the case have now stated that Big Papi David Ortiz was not the intended target by the hitman but it was intended to be Ortiz's friend Sixto David Fernandez who was seated at the same table. While this has not been confirmed to be true it is what lead prosecutors are stating. Also, if it is true and Ortiz was not the intended target but instead it was his friend, how does that make the situation any better? The fact that the prosecutors in this case are stating that Ortiz was not the intended target is baffling because no one is going to say that it is okay because he wasn't the intended target.
