Giannis returns, Bucks win

When Giannis Antetokounmpo misses one game, Bucks fans generally think it is simply a matter of load management. When he misses three or four games, perhaps many feel he is just resting for the playoffs.

But when he misses six?

Fortunately for Bucks fans starting to hit the panic button on their two-time reigning NBA MVP’s balky left knee, Antetokounmpo was able to return to the lineup Thursday night in Milwaukee’s 120-109 win at Atlanta over the surging Hawks (30-26).

Antetokounmpo was limited to 25 minutes, scoring 15 points, and pulling down five rebounds. Teammate Jrue Holiday led Milwaukee with 23, while Brook Lopez added 19.

Thursday’s game ends a stretch where the Bucks (35-20) played nine times out of ten games on the road. Saturday, they begin a four game homestand against the Memphis Grizzlies (27-26).
