NBA to approve return to play; season to resume this summer

The NBA, including the Milwaukee Bucks, is on the verge of announcing a return to play this summer that would include 22 teams playing on a closed campus in Orlando, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Within the proposal, expected to pass, 13 teams from the Western Conference and nine teams from the Eastern Conference would play eight-game schedules in Orlando to set playoff seeding.

Scheduling could be tricky, as the NBA is reportedly going to have teams play the next eight games on their regular-season schedules. With eight teams not making the cut, the schedules will be unbalanced.

Among the details to be worked out include firm dates for a return, as well as health and security details for all involved.

Milwaukee will enter the resumed season as the top seed in the East, with a 3.5 game lead on Toronto. The Bucks and Raptors would face each other twice under the proposed scheduling changes, before potentially meeting in the postseason.
