According to Warchant.com, a dozen or so Seminole Football players have lobbied for Haggins to be named the permanent head coach.
In his first game as interim head coach, Haggins led the Seminoles to their first road win in over a year this past weekend in a 38-31 win over Boston College.
The players have certainly made their preference known:
Haggins is a FSU alum who has been on the coaching staff since 1994. He has stayed at FSU through the resignation of Bobby Bowden and Jimbo Fisher.
As for his record as a head coach, he went 2-0 as interim head coach in 2017 after Fisher’s resignation. With Saturday’s win, he’s now 3-0 and has the team on the cusp of bowl eligibility.
