Georgia QB D’Wan Mathis Recovery From Brain Surgery Going Well

Mississippi State v Georgia

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart revealed that the team isn’t ready to put a date on Mathis’ potential return. Smart said that he can’t speculate on when Mathis will be 100-percent but plans to be “very cautious.”

Via DawgNation:

“As far as putting a date on his exact return where he’s 100 percent,” Smart said. “I don’t know what that’s going to be. I can’t even speculate right now with the surgery he had. We’re certainly going to be very cautious.”“D’Wan is doing very well. Ron (Courson) and his staff, I think it’s very well-documented how well Ron and his staff managed D’Wan and the things that they’ve done,” Smart said.“D’Wan is back in classes, he’s back in workouts, he’s doing a really good job for us.”

Mathis may not be football ready, but he certainly looks to be in solid athletic condition. The Georgia Football Twitter account recently released footage of Mathis dunking.
