Suh, who has been with the Dolphins for 3 seasons, had 4.5 sacks to go along with 48 tackles last season. However according to the Miami Herald the the Dolphins will be looking to cut him, Suh is due $26.1 million going against the salary cap for the 2018 season (although he would still be concerned about the percentage going towards taxes). Releasing Suh and making him a post June 1st cut would free up $17 million in cap space. Discussions of releasing Suh began happening as early as this past October, and it appears to be becoming more likely. The Dolphins recently acquired DL Robert Quinn in a trade with the Rams this off-season.
