Jaguars Owner Khan Issues Statement On Playoff Sellout

The Jaguars have secured a spot in the playoffs for the first time in a decade, and have locked up a home playoff game for the first time in nearly two decades, prompting a sellout of their first round wild card game.

Upon the rapid sellout, the Jaguars approached the NFL about removing the tarps in the stadium in order to sell an additional 3,501 seats for the game and recieved permission from the league and team sponsors to remove the tarps, which was granted. The new seats sold out in six minutes, and Jaguars owner Shad Khan released the following statement regarding the response of the fanbase to the Jaguars first home playoff game since 2000.

The Jaguars will host the 6th seed in the AFC playoffs on either January 6th or January 7th.
