FSU Baseball Now Has Longest Active Postseason Streak

Florida State v Mississippi

The Miami Hurricanes missed the opportunity to play for the National Championship, as they were not named to the field of 64 when the NCAA Baseball tournament brackets were unveiled Sunday.

In doing so, Miami had their 44 year postseason appearance streak snapped. As a result, the Florida State Seminoles now hold the record for longest active streak of consecutive postseason appearances in college sports. The Seminoles baseball team has made the postseason every year since 1978, totaling 40 straight years.

The Seminoles will be hosting a regional this weekend.
