Panthers Bounce Back With Win Over Detroit Mercy

MILWAUKEE - It was a cold night outside, but it was scorching hot Thursday inside the UWM Panther Arena

In a game that saw incredible scoring swings both ways, it was the Milwaukee Panthers who finally pulled out the win in a wild affair Thursday night. After trailing at half 50-31, Detroit Mercy spearheaded a wild charge behind an incredible 25 offensive rebounds and 42 points from Antoine Davis, currently the second leading scorer in DI history, to take the lead at 68-67 with 7:24 to play.

However it was Milwaukee down the stretch who took control for good behind Sophomore guard B.J. Freeman's team leading 26 points and got a much needed bounce-back win. Milwaukee had 5 scorers in double figures and shot and incredible 58.2% from the floor. They are now 17-8 overall and 11-4 in Horizon League play.

The Milwaukee Panthers return to action Saturday night at the UWM Panther Arena when they host Oakland.
