New Surveillance Video Refutes the Assault Allegations Against Aaron Donald

New surveillance footage released by TMZ on Friday appears to paint a very different portrait of the recent events surrounding NFL superstar Aaron Donald, as the three-time Defensive Player of the Year had made headlines for his role in an alleged beating of a man outside a Pittsburgh nightclub.

DeVincent Spriggs, 26, said that Donald assaulted him outside the club on April 11th, 2021, and needed 16 stitches after suffering a broken orbital bone, a broken nose, a concussion, and a ‘sprained arm’ that could be broken.

Andy Sheehan of KDKA in Pittsburgh shared the picture that was making the rounds on social media on Thursday of Spriggs' badly beaten in face, with a swollen right eye was completely shut closed.

Spriggs’ attorney said they intended to file criminal charges against Donald, who they accused as being the assailant.

Although Spriggs injuries are completely legitimate, the new surveillance video leaked by TMZ shows Donald appearing to break up the melee, which included a half-dozen people kicking and beating the helpless man on the ground.

Towards the end of the video, you can actually see Donald pulling men off Spriggs, as it never appeared that Donald had ever struck the man.

Donald's lawyer told Sheehan of KDKA that Spriggs should save the lawsuit and actually 'send Aaron a Thank You card.'

Spriggs allegedly had accidentally bumped into Donald while inside of the nightclub and says that Donald would later encounter Spriggs in an alley out back of the club.

Even with the video, Donald’s lawyer says they have attained five other accounts from witnesses that would refute the charges against Donald.
