Here's how to watch today's WIAA Board of Control meeting

With so much interest in this morning's WIAA meeting, the organization is making the video stream public for all interested parties.

This morning's WIAA Board of Control Special Business Session at 9 a.m. can be viewed publicly on YouTube. You can click here to view the meeting once it begins at 9 a.m.

The WIAA is considering a proposal to move fall sports to spring, as well as a possible delay to the start of fall sports practices and seasons.

Neighboring states have already announced their plans or will do so in the next few days. In Wisconsin, the Big 8 Conference thus far is the only league to cancel its fall sports seasons; several other conferences and schools have announced delays to the start of their fall sports seasons, such as Waunakee and Mount Horeb.

The Board of Control meets again on August 14. It is expected today that they will at the very minimum delay the start of fall sports practices to August 17, to allow more time for review of data and work on guidance from government officials. That would remove two weeks from the high school football calendar and one week from all other fall sports.
