UCF QB Darriel Mack Jr. suffered a broken ankle during a non-football related activity, the school announced on Wednesday.
“Quarterback Darriel Mack Jr. suffered a broken ankle from non-football related activity this week and there is no specific timetable for his return. He will not be available for training camp. We hope Darriel has a speedy recovery, but we are excited about the talent we have in the quarterback room to start the season.” - UCF head coach Josh Heupel
UCF lost starter McKenzie Milton to a leg injury last November, and Mack was expected to be his replacement.
