Jacksonville Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey and agent David Mulugheta have responded to comments made by Executive Vice President Tom Coughlin's statements regarding player attendance at voluntary workouts. Addressing the media at the Jaguars annual State of the Franchise Thursday, Coughlin stated:
“We’re close to 100 percent attendance — and quite frankly all of our players should be here,” Jaguars EVP Tom Coughlin
Mulugheta and Ramsey both responded Friday on twitter:
"'Fully aware' & 'voluntary' meaning I don’t HAVE to be there BUT they know the EXACT REASONS I am not. My teammates know it’s ALL love & know I’ll be ready when it’s time!" Jaguars CB Jalen Ramsey
"To be clear, Jalen Ramsey is exactly where Jalen should be during his off season. He’s spending time with his young daughter & family while training in his hometown of Nashville. In addition the Jags are fully aware of why he is not taking part in the voluntary off season program" - David Mulugheta
Coughlin's comments also drew the ire of the NFL PA on Thursday.
