The SEC will partner with the American Conference in order to create tougher schedules for their basketball programs, CBS' Jon Rothstein reports.
The SEC already has an annual inter-conference tournament with the Big 12, though not all of the SEC teams participate in the challenge. Starting in 2019-20 season, teams that don't participate in the annual SEC-Big 12 challenge will schedule home-and-home series with AAC teams to create more Q1 and Q2 opportunities on the schedule.
