Jaguars Re-sign OL Josh Wells

The Jacksonville Jaguars have re-signed five-year veteran OL Josh Wells.

Wells, 6-6, 306, has emerged as a solid swing tackle, appearing in 39 games with eight starts since originally signing with Jacksonville as an undrafted rookie on May 14, 2014. Wells appeared in 12 games during his rookie year in 2014, spent the 2015 season on reserve/injured (thumb), appeared in five games during the 2016 season before going on reserve/injured (thumb), appeared in a career-high 15 games in 2017 and saw action in seven games in 2018, despite twice being placed on reserve/injured (groin, concussion)

The Mechanicsville, Va. native attended James Madison University (2009-13), serving as a team captain during his senior season in 2013. At Hanover High School in Mechanicsville, Va., Wells played QB and threw for over 4,000 yards with 28 TDs, while rushing for over 900 yards with five scores.
