Two SEC Basketball Coaches On Their Way Out

AL.com is reporting the Alabama men’s basketball program is working on a buyout with head coach Avery Johnson. The report suggests the two sides are negotiating a buyout.

Alabama put together a disappointing 18-16 season that ended with a first-round NIT loss to Norfolk State. Rick Pitino's names has already surfaced as a top target in Tuscaloosa.

Vanderbilt head coach Bryce Drew, who has been with the Commodores for three seasons, has reportedly been fired as well. Jeff Goodman of Stadium was the first to report the news.

With the Commodores, Drew posted a 40-59 record and one NCAA Tournament appearance. He had a 16-38 record in the SEC
