Florida State lands QB Transfer Wyatt Rector

Former three-star quarterback recruit, Wyatt Rector, is transferring out of the Western Michigan football program and he is headed to the panhandle.

The former Western Michigan quarterback is transferring to Florida State, which has a lack of depth at the position behind James Blackman.

Rector announced his decision on social media.

Rector threw for 3,242 passing yards and totaled 918 rushing yards during his senior season in high school. He decided to leave the Western Michigan program after one season.

The former WMU quarterback will be applying for a waiver for immediate eligibility in 2019.
