Former Jags RB Maurice Jones-Drew wants team to sign Frank Gore

Monday former Jags Running Back Maurice Jones Drew put together his list of 3 things each team in the AFC South should do this offseason There were your standard focal points including targeting Nick Foles or drafting a QB in the first round. He also would like to see the Jags bring in a playmaking TE. His big push was to add more veteran leadership in the locker room and he knows just the guy.

Establish better veteran leadership in the locker room. Over the last calendar year, the Jaguars have lost a good amount of veterans, including Paul Posluszny (retired), Barry Church (released in December) and Marcedes Lewis (released last offseason).Calais Cambelll is the oldest starter on the current roster at 32 years old.
The Jags shouldn't just sign older guys in free agency for the heck of it. They need the right guys who can hold others accountable. (For starters, I would sign Frank Gore) They need a veteran presence or Jacksonville could turn into the Wild West before we know it.

Frank Gore is entering his 15h season in the NFL. In 2018 he had 722 yards rushing on 156 carries.

In his first Mock Draft Jones has the Jags not signing Nick Foles and drafting Kyler Murray with the 7th overall pick.
