Buccaneers and Bruce Arians expressing mutual interest

On New Year's Day Bruce Arians announced he was stepping down as Head Coach of the Arizona Cardinals and retiring from the NFL at the age of 65. Now, not even a week later, his name is coming up as a serious candidate for the vacant Head Coaching job of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Ian Rappaport of the NFL Network broke the news just after Noon on Saturday via Twitter.

Tom Pelissero, also of the NFL Network, chimed in and said that there is a "sense in the building" that Arians will the new Head Coach.

On Friday, JoeBucsFan.com reported that the Buccaneers would announce their new Head Coach next week and that coach would be Bruce Arians. The Bucs Blog Site said they learned this information on "Good Authority" but did not site an actual source.
