Florida to Paint End Zones Orange For First Time in 30 Years

It's Homecoming week in Gainesville as the Gators are getting ready to host the Missouri Tigers. According to Floridagators.com the last time the end zones were painted orange was in 1989 for Emmit Smith's final home game as a Gator. When Steve Spurrier took over in 1990 he installed natural grass and took up the artificial turf that had covered the end zones up until that time since 1971.

Florida Plans on keeping the orange end zones for the remaining 3 home games this season: Missouri this week, then South Carolina, and Idaho the last home game of the season.
