If you've been listening to us, or watching the Today Show, you knew it was only a matter of a time before they moved on from Megyn.
Well, it happened.
Megyn Kelly was replaced on NBC yesterday morning with a third hour of the the "Today" show. Hoda Kotb was there with Al Roker and Craig Melvin, and said the show was evolving, it's a new chapter, and they had heavy hearts given the news from Pittsburgh.
A lot of people are sayin this is vindication for Al Roker. Before Megyn, he co-anchored the 9 o’clock hour (EDT) with Tamron Hall, who departed upon hearing the duo were being replaced with Kelly.
TMZ reports Roker was “bitterly disappointed but still gracious” at the time.
Last week, NBC issued a statement saying that in the wake of Kelly’s cancellation, the 9 a.m. hour would be hosted by other Today co-anchors, which could include Savannah Guthrie and, presumably, former first daughter Jenna Bush.
