Cardi B Is Sorry for Her Civil Rights Movement Sketch

CARDI B has apologized for a comedy skit she did called 'Real Housewives of the Civil Rights Movement,' where she played Coretta Scott King.

It was about the wives of civil rights leaders throwing shade at each other.

It was filmed for a show called "Off the Rip" with "Wild 'n Out" star Rip Michaels. . . but TMZ posted it yesterday, on the anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech.  Which probably wasn't a coincidence.

Naturally, it was pretty controversial, and Cardi immediately started getting heat for it.

She hasn't commented, but she apologized privately to MLK's daughter Bernice King, who Tweeted, quote, "Thank you, Cardi B, for reaching out to me and apologizing for the skit.  I look forward to talking with you soon."
