Just in the last year or so, I've gotten to a place in my life that I've been able to share publicly my struggles with depression and severe anxiety. With the support of my family, friends, colleagues, and wife...I've been able to open up to strangers, to listeners, to social media. Why? Because now, more than ever, it's important to stand up, be proud of who I am, and spread the message that these issues shouldn't be hidden away, shamed, and brushed side.

You can seem to be having the ride of your life. Money, success, fame...mental health knows no race, religion, gender, creed, sexual orientation, economic status. It can be anyone you know, even if on the surface things appear to be fine. Here is a beautiful tribute Anderson Cooper did for his friend Anthony Bourdain, who succumbed to suicide recently. Talk to someone, call 1-800-273-8255. YOU ARE NOT ALONE, YOU CAN GET HELP. DON'T HIDE YOUR PAIN...it's a medical issues and you can get better.
