Baker Mayfield Hangs Up On Brett Favre's Agent

Former Oklahoma Sooner QB Baker Mayfield is probably the most polarizing player in the NFL Draft. You'll hear everything from how he is going to be the next elite QB to how he is Johnny Manziel 2.0. Detractors may yet have another reason to voice their concerns about Mayfield.

In a documentary series following Mayfield, he recounts his conversation with Bus Cook, Brett Favre's agent:

“Bus Cook, Brett Favre’s agent, great story. Every agent does the same thing, they give their résumé, what they’re about, all this stuff. Finally, when he was about to give me a chance to talk, he asked, ‘So, when did Bob Stoops start recruiting you?’ And I said ‘Excuse me?’ and then he repeated the question.”

And that was the end of the conversation, as Mayfield says that he bid Cook farewell and hung up. Perhaps it's a legitimate gripe on his part, as Cook should well know the story behind Mayfield (Mayfield was a walk on, he wasn't recruited) as he was interested in making Mayfield his client, but he will probably face criticism for this as well.
