THE WEEKND's new album has a song on it that has people wondering if he was going to give SELENA GOMEZ a kidney back when they were dating.
The song is called "Call Out My Name", and it includes the lyrics, "I almost cut a piece of myself for your life / Guess I was just another pit stop / 'Til you made up your mind / You just wasted my time."
But a source says The Weeknd just wrote that to drum up attention. He added, quote, "Sure, he was her boyfriend at the time, so it perhaps crossed his mind to get tested to see if he was a match . . . but it never got anywhere close to actually happening."
The source added that Selena never would have asked him . . . quote, "It was difficult enough for her to allow a lifelong friend to do it, but a new boyfriend? No way."
Selena got her kidney from her longtime friend Francia Raisa last summer.
