The father of three women who were sexually abused by former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University doctor Larry Nassar tried to attack Nassar in court on Friday.
Randal Margraves asked the judge for a few minutes alone with Nassar.
"Give me one minute with that bastard," said Margraves.
"You know I can't do that," the judge told Margraves before he started running towards Nassar in the witness box.
Margraves was quickly tackled and arrested by police in the court room.
The judge originally allowed Margraves to address the court, but cut him off when he began to curse.
Nassar was convicted of abusing dozens of young women while they were competing on the USA Gymnastics Team.
The sentencing hearing was temporarily halted.
"You cannot behave like this," said Michigan Assistant Attorney General Angela Povilaitis in court.
As Margraves was ushered out of the courtroom, he responded: "You haven't lived through it, lady."
Margraves is the father of Lauren and Madison Margraves, who both addressed the court before the incident involving their father.
Randal Margraves' third daughter, Morgan, issued a statement that was read at Nassar's sentencing last month.
Nassar pleaded guilty to 10 criminal sexual conduct charges in his case. He admitted to abusing his position in order to sexually abuse the girls under the guise of giving medical treatment, CNN reports.
More than 150 women have spoken in court over the past two weeks about how Nassar's abuse affected their lives.
Proceedings resumed after a short break.
The judge addressed the court, saying acting out physically in court "does not show the right message. It actually just causes more pain and more discomfort, and certainly we have enough of that already in this courtroom as a result of the defendant's actions."
Eaton County Court officials had not announced whether Margraves will face charges in connection to the outburst.
