There's a few things we talk about that are hot buttons, and this is one of them... tipping!
Lately, some restaurants across the county have been doing away with the act of tipping the wait staff, by paying them more.
Now a couple of establishments (on the West Coast) are trying something new...
Not only do you leave a tip for the wait staff, but there's also a line on the check to tip the cook. Part of the reason is wait staff in some areas don't have to share tips with cooks. The cook's gratuity was a way these restaurants rallied around their chefs, and allowing diners to chip in their appreciation for a well prepared meal.
