What is it like to watch your son play for the Green Bay Packers? Well, Drew & KB got a taste of it on Wednesday afternoon when they welcomed Christa (Christian Watson's Mom) to the show.
Christa has watched Watson play since he was five years old. She has seen him play against tough competition at the high school level in Florida, the college level at North Dakota State, and now at the highest level for the Green Bay Packers.
"It can be an out of body experience to some degree," Christa said when discussing watching her son play for the Packers.
Watson had a rocky first half of the season with injuries and the drop in Minnesota. As a mom, that was tough to watch.
As can be expected, the injuries are not easy to see. "That's when the game ends and mom mode begins," she said.
However, after returning to the field healthy, Watson was the NFC Rookie of the Month in November. Christa explained how it feels to see people wearing her son's jersey.
"That's probably the coolest thing in the world to me. I see people with number nine stuff and I think 'wow that's my kid'," she said.
