Jared "Hefty Lefty" Lorenzen passed away on Wednesday after battling serious renal and cardiac problems. Lorenzen was Kentucky's quarterback from 2000-2003, and during those years he famously played QB behind an offensive line with several players listed as weighing less than Lorenzen.
Current Kentucky QB Terry Wilson led the Wildcats to a 10 win season in 2018, their first 10 win season since 1977. He hinted via his personal twitter that he may wear Lorenzen's #22 for Kentucky's first game.
Kentucky's first game is a home game at Noon on August 31st vs Toledo.
