Through five seasons of the College Football Playoff, only 10 different programs have made an appearance in the four team field. It has proven to be an extremely exclusive, difficult to crack event, even if it doubles the number of participants from the BCS. Four teams—Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, and Ohio State—have made multiple appearances in the CFP. Alabama has played in every single one thus far, with Clemson only missing the first playoff.
